Common questions
How is each offer scored?
Each offer is scored across four weighted categories: compensation (40%), work-life balance (25%), career growth (20%), and company stability (15%). Within each category, your inputs are normalised and combined into a score out of 100.
What counts as compensation in the calculator?
Compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and an estimated annual equity value. The three are combined into a total compensation figure, which is then scored relative to the other offers you entered.
Should I always pick the highest-scoring offer?
Not necessarily. The score reflects the weights you've implicitly set by how you rated growth and stability. If one category matters more to you than the defaults suggest, look at the per-category breakdown rather than just the overall score.
How many offers can I compare?
The calculator supports two or three offers. You start with two slots and can add a third optionally. Any slot left empty is excluded from the comparison.
